I am a chartered surveyor with over 40 years’ experience in property related matters. For the last twenty years I have been involved with property development and investment throughout Scotland. I felt it was important to put something back into the community and with my skill sets Camphill Estates was a good fit. As a trustee on the Estates board, my property background is helpful when we are looking at the how the estate operates for the benefit of the community, which is different than in my day to day role. I have experience in funding and building properties along with the ability to offer advice on the strategic portfolio.

STAFF TEAM
Our staff team work closely with our operating charities to deliver impactful fundraising, communications, and estate management initiatives which focus on long-term sustainability.

Barry Gibson- Chief Operating Officer
Awaiting Title
As a Chief Operating officer my role involves overseeing all operations and departments. I manage both the strategy for Camphill Estates property and land holdings as well as finance and banking management. My first contact with Camphill was as a corporate volunteer over 20 years ago. Then, I joined Camphill in 2019 as a consultant on a project basis, and like many others, have never left.
Working in such a special organisation, which does so much good for those that need it the most is a real privilege. Our main office in the heart of Murtle Estate is surrounded by the residents and day service pupils of Camphill School Aberdeen, a constant reminder of why we are here and what we are working towards building over the years to come.
Duncan Strachan- Estates Manager

Partnership Executive
I have experience across the public, private, and third sectors, having worked in a variety of roles ranging from front-line support to management. This diverse background has given me a broad understanding of how different organisations operate and the importance of collaboration and community impact. I decided to join Camphill Estates because I believe my expertise can make a difference in the local community here in the North East.
The main part of my role is to raise awareness of the operating charities and the projects currently being fundraised for. One of the ways I do this is by organising corporate volunteer days, which not only support the charities but also help build valuable relationships with local businesses and communities.
